Turtle Races

The day of the turtle races finally came. Jaxon has been talking about it for months. We painted up his turtle and went to race.

Testing him out at home.

We signed Jemma up in her age group with the same turtle. I was nervous because Jaxon was so excited about winning and in my experience most of the turtles just curl up or go the wrong way. But this was the fastest turtle I've even seen! The second you put him down he was gone and he went pretty straight too.
Jemma easily won her age group.

He won too! His age group was the biggest so they split it up and he won his group then they took the top 4 or so and he won that too.

Jemma found another little buddy.

So then they had an overall winner and took the winners of each age division. The kid were sharing a turtle so they both raced him.
