Corn

Jaxonism:
The other day Jaxon and I were shucking some corn on the cob and he said, "Mom, I'll take off the salad and you can take off the string."

Preschool Graduation

Photobucket

Last Saturday was Jaxon's preschool graduation. I can't believe he will be in Kindergarten next year. What a spoiled kid though - he has 12 people there to watch him just for preschool. He is the first and only grandchild and great grandchild on both sides.
We had a nice ceremony then came back to open presents. Afterward we all went out to eat. Blake did really well considering he'd just had surgery. My dad and brother came back to work on our steps on the deck and got it DONE! Thank you guys! It is so nice to have that done for the summer.

Jaxon got really shy and quiet when we got there and he didn't want to take any pictures so they're the best we could do.

Jaxon's Preschool Field Trip

Photobucket

Last Wednesday was Jaxon's preschool field trip the zoo in Garden City. I took a day so that I could go with them. The class is split into 2 sections now so this is only half of the class in the pictures. We did that in the morning then went to McDonald's to eat which they loved because what kid doesn't love McDonald's plus the one in Garden has a pretty awesome play place.

Of all the animals we saw they were mesmerized by the worm they found. Figures!

That same day we came back only to go to the Satanta Hospital to see Blake while he was getting prepped for surgery to have his appendix taken out. He came home before we went to the zoo and told me he was going to the doctor to see what was wrong. He kept trying to call and text me from the hospital but it was a dead zone. I did make back in time for his surgery which went really well. He had a history of getting really sick with the pain medication and stuff but he did great this time. He got to go home Thursday and was back on school on Monday. Then Tuesday (yesterday) he went in to have one of his incisions looked at because it was red and hot. They put him back in the hospital for infection. He is doing well now and looks like he will be getting out Friday. It has been an extremely crazy few weeks for us that I'm not used to but we're just taking it one day at a time.

Meet Boots!

Meet our newest, furry family member - Boots! On Monday, we went to the animal shelter in Garden City to pick out a new puppy. She is a mix of border collie and rottweiler. Jaxon picked out the name Boots because she is the color of his boots. She is really sweet and very calm which is great for Jaxon. He is so in love with her!
