New Friends

Since moving we've made some new friends and since we've moved back home - reconnected with old friends. One couple we know, I grew up with in Lewis. They have a baby girl, Jocelyn, who is 6 months younger than Jemma. They stopped by to see if we wanted to go to the park and we got some good shots of the girls. Jaxon and Blake had haircuts to go to so I didn't get many action shots of Jemma since it was just me with her and you have to be ready for anything with her because she is fearless.

Before we left, our neighbors have some horses across the street and were out feeding them so we checked them out.

They got out the chickens too. Jemma wasn't too sure about touching it. She did find a feather that had fallen off and she tried to push it back on the chicken.

Jaxon has been making new friends also. Our neighbors with the horses have a grandson, Aiden, who is a year younger than Jaxon and they LOVE to play together outside. They have a trampoline so their house is better of course.

That's the "I don't want to go home!" face.

I Want My Bubbie!

When Jemma is older she probably won't believe me so it's a good thing we have this blog to go back to. Sometimes when she's fussy the only thing that will calm her down is her Bubbie. She just wants to cuddle with him on his lap. One night, when it was about bedtime, she was really fussy and wasn't wanting anything. She finally started saying Bubbie so he got in the rocker and held her and read her some books. She calmed down instantly. I love seeing them together. Especially when I think back to all those nights when Jaxon was praying for a baby sister.

And since Bubbie went to bed, she finally crashed on Mommy.

Cub Scout Camping Trip

On September 29, we went down to Greensburg Lake with the Lewis Cub Scouts(or pond) to go fishing and camping. I did not want to try camping all night with a 1 year old but we didn't want to miss out on the fun so we took two vehicles and Jemma and I came home. (I was so disappointed to not go camping *insert heavy sarcasm*!)
Jaxon was so excited! He's really excited to be a cub scout and Blake and I both signed up to help. It has been a new learning experience for both of us since neither of us were Cub Scouts (or Brownies) growing up.
The boys were really excited to go fishing so it was hard for them to be patient and help set up camp first.

Jaxon's little baby tent. It was definitely the smallest. We got it for his birthday a few years ago for when he had friends over so it is just a little tent. We did bring one from my parents but didn't want to mess with it since it was just Blake and Jaxon sleeping in it. After this though, we definitely need to use a bigger one.

Finally going fishing! Jaxon said it was his favorite part even though he didn't catch any fish.

Jemma and I had to go back and forth and walk around. Let's just say she was scaring the fish.

We planned to stay until after we ate and s'mores but Jemma started having some bad diapers and I was not about to be stuck somewhere with a baby with a diaper rash. (I've had that happen before.) So we left early. Fortunately she never got a diaper rash though.
Like our changing table.

Love that look!

Even though Mommy and Jemma went home, the camera was left behind so Daddy could get some pictures.

The guys didn't get much sleep that night. I should have taken a picture the next morning to see the after. They were both so exhausted!
