Jaxon's Birthday Part 2

After we got back from the fourth we had Jaxon's birthday with his friends in Satanta on July 7th. I planned on just having a big water party for the kids in our backyard. I planned on using the big water slide that I had posted from a few blogs back. It had been super hot so I didn't think anything about it but of course that day we woke up and it was cloudy and colder. But we forged on. The kids didn't care they were freezing they had a blast. Jaxon had 2 great birthday celebrations (spoiled I know!) and everyone had a great time.

Here's his second cake. I made one and that was enough so I got our friend Leanne who has a business, Three Tiers, to make his cake. Her cakes are the best! Many adults came to the party just for cake or made sure their spouses brought them back a piece. I knew I had bought Jaxon this pack that came with a lot of Toy Story toys so I just told her the colors then we used the toys to decorate. Way easier than the first cake for me! But still super cute1

Jaxon got in while he was waiting for everyone to get there. He thought it took them forever and were afraid that no one was coming even though it was 30 minutes before they were supposed to be there.

The place I ordered from didn't have a Toy Story pinata so I got this little game that is kind of like Jenga where you pull out strips then the candy will fall out. They loved it.

Fourth of July Bummer

We stayed in Lewis for the weekend of the fourth because Lewis had a huge 100 year reunion that weekend. It was so much fun to see everyone and see Lewis booming again! The only downer was that on the 4th it rained so we didn't get to see any fireworks. Satanta didn't get rained out so they had theirs on the 4th. Lewis had their the next Saturday but we were already back and busy. So no fireworks display for us. Fortunately we did have a few firecrackers - Thanks Brent! I got a few pictures but not many because I thought I'd get some more on the 4th. Oh well.

Jaxon's Birthday Part 1

Jaxon turned 5 on June 30! We had just finished up harvest the Saturday before. We went down to Pratt, Kansas on his birthday at Lemon Park. We had pizza, drinks and cake. It was actually really nice weather for summer and we had one of those overhangs all to ourself and there is lots of shade there also. My parents, grandparents, brother, and his friend Jeremy who is working on the house went down with us to meet Blake's parents. Jaxon hit the jackpot of course. He wanted a Toy Story theme so I made him a cake to the best of my abilities with the picture he had in mind. It amazes me but he knew exactly which picture of Buzz and Woody he wanted. When I found one that had both but looked a little easier to make on a cake, he instantly knew it wasn't the same.

For some reason I took the best pictures of the cake on my phone. Sometimes I forget which ones I've taken on which. Oh Well!
