Church Christmas Program 2010

On Sunday the 12th our church had their Christmas program that night. The kids sang some Christmas songs then others shared their musicial talents. Again our camera isn't that good (it's on my Christmas wish list) so the pics aren't that great. Plus Matt's head was in my way - haha sorry Matt.

They had the kids dress up and Jaxon was a sheep. I wanted a picture so of course he had to actually act like a sheep even though he was just singing in it.

Making Fudge - YUM!

The same day Santa came, I got one of our friend's daughter's, Alex, to come over and help me make fudge for Christmas presents. I made caramels and fudge this year. The caramels aren't too bad because it's a microwave recipe but the fudge is a pain because you have to stir it over medium heat to a rolling boil then continue stirring while it is boiling for 8 minutes and I knew my back would be killing me if I stood there that long. Alex did a great job helping and of course since Alex was there Jaxon wanted to help also. If she wasn't there I'm sure he would have ignored what I was doing. His helping was stirring for 30 seconds then walking away though. They had a good time doing the best part of taste testing - YUM! It was soo good!

Santa Visit 2010

On Saturday, December 11 Santa came to Satanta! Jaxon was so excited and was doing a countdown for over a week. He's getting better at concepts of time now that they do calendar everyday but he still gets confused. For instance instead of saying the day after tomorrow he always says tomorrow, tomorrow or tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow.
Anyway, he was so proud of himself because this is the first year he stood in line by himself and sat on Santa's lap all by himself. Other years he would cry or like last year I had to sit on Santa's lap and then Jaxon sat on my lap. He told Santa he wanted a Nintendo DS and a Blizzard maker but he had to explain the Blizzard maker.

Jaxonism:
Jaxon picked out his "cool" outfit to see Santa in. You can't see but I got him to wear his Santa shirt that says, "I was framed!" He would only wear it with his leather jacket over it though and he had to keep it on because it was part of the outfit.

Jaxon's School Christmas Program

December 7 was Jaxon's first school Christmas program. He was so excited. They got to practice Monday and Tuesday where they were singing at the auditorium in the high school so they rode the bus over. Jaxon was so excited to ride the bus. I think it was his favorite part. I rode the bus everyday from Kindergarten through 8th grade and hated it by the end. Jaxon wishes he could ride the bus.
His teacher told me when they were going over to practice one of the Kindergarteners said he didn't have his clothes to perform in and some of the others including Jaxon were worried so she had to explain about it being practice and they would wear their clothes the night of the performance. I'm not surprised Jaxon was worried because he was excited to wear his new suit.
Here are some pics of Jaxon before and after the performance. Our camera's not very good so the performance pictures didn't turn out that well. My mom took pictures so I'll get hers sometime. Granny, Papa, Grandma, and Grandpa got to come to his performance and see him. Grandpa Ploger was going to come down but decided not to because of the weather.

The Christmas Tree Decorator

Over Thanksgiving Jaxon got to decorate both sets of grandparent's tree then came home and did our tree. I was afraid he'd be tired of it by the time we got home but he loved it.
