Hey Diddle Diddle

This week Jaxon's class did the nursery rhyme 'Hey Diddle, Diddle'. They made a book to take home and Jaxon was "reading" it to us and he kept saying the cow jumped over the hill. I told him it was moon and referenced the picture. He said, "But I think hill makes more sense."

Wake Up Call

Jaxon got an alarm clock for the new school year. It was his idea. He wanted to wake up on his own. He's done really well with it. But the other day I had to wake him up and I thought maybe we forgot to set his alarm. As soon as I walked he said, "I heard my alarm but I just didn't want to get up." He's definitely my kid!

Jaxon's First Day of Kindergarten

This Thursday, August 19 was Jaxon's first day of Kindergarten. We only had a half day and Friday was his first full day. He was so excited! His teacher said he did really well. The only time she had to get on to him was talking in the bathroom. She said the boys must like the echo in there. Here are some pics of his first day.

Even though he didn't bring a lunch to school that day he had to show off his lunch box.

Ready for School

Here are pics of Jaxon laying out all of his new school clothes. There were a lot of sales and Grandma got him some clothes too. He was so funny having to lay them all out and get all the tags off. We picked out his first day outfit right then.

Sidewalk Chalk

These are some pics of Jaxon playing with some sidewalk chalk he got for his birthday. It actually had some paint that dried into a chalk substance that washed off. It also had 3D glasses and showed you how to put colors together to make it look 3D. It was pretty cool.

???

I'm not really sure what to say. This is Blake's doing. I think the mustache came from one of those 25 cent machines.

Liberal Waterpark

This summer a bunch of us from Satanta loaded up the kids and went to the waterpark in Liberal. It is only about 25 minutes away. Jaxon had never been so he was really excited. I thought it was really reasonable so everyone was happy. Jaxon had a blast and Mommy even got in the water a little bit. The only thing he was bummed about was that he wasn't tall enough to go down the big slides.

Gearin Up

Jaxon got some baseball stuff for his birthday so he's been wanting to practice for next year. We keep trying to convince him he needs to practice hitting off a tee since he'll play tee ball but he wants us to pitch it to him. He can actually hit pretty good. One day this summer we took him and his friends, Caylee and Caydon to the baseball field to practice. They loved it!
