Corn Harvest

The Saturday after we went to the fair, Blake helped with corn harvest by driving grain cart. I took the kids out to ride for awhile.

Waiting for the combine to come around. I got a little photo happy.

Sweet boy!

Jemma and I rode the combine with my dad. Jaxon rode grain cart with Blake.

We rode for over an hour and within the first 10 minutes Jemma was out. She was a little scared at first and would only sit with me but she got used to it.

State Fair 2012

We decided to go to the Fair Friday after school after doing a little research and finding out they had wristbands that night for the rides. Since the rides is pretty much all Jaxon cares about and they can be expensive to keep buying tickets plus with Jemma being a year older this year and mobile, I thought this would be perfect. We left as soon as Blake got home from school. My parents and my brother's girlfriend, Erica, all went with us. Dustin stayed home to work.

Here we go! She didn't stay in the stroller very long but it was a good thing to have and hold all our stuff.

We started off with the food! I tried not to eat too much during the day knowing we were going to be around some yummy food. The one thing I definitely wanted to try was Moink Balls. BBQ meatballs wrapped in bacon on a stick - yum!

Once we all got our food from different places we took it in the Beer Garden to sit down to eat. Jemma liked the space to move around and dance.

Then we hit the midway for the rides.

The first ride Jaxon rode was the Ferris Wheel with Erica. He was secretly happy Uncle D wasn't there so he didn't have to share Erica.

Jemma wanted to ride so bad.

We checked her height but she wasn't quite tall enough (or old enough for me) to ride by herself. Next year!

Then Jaxon and I rode the Carousel with Jemma. She loved it! And was not happy when it was over. Like 10 minutes of crying!

Jaxon "won" this toy from a game. He wanted to spend a lot more money on games but we wouldn't let him go too crazy.

The weather was perfect! Just a little cool so had to put a jacket on Jemma but I never needed one. I brought all kinds of blankets and jackets because it was supposed to really cold but it was perfect. The jacket Jemma is wearing is actually mine from when I was little.

And the crash! We got there about 6:30 and left at 10:30 so it was just enough time.

Jaxon and Daddy getting off the skyride. They rode that to the end and Jemma and I walked since we had the stroller. Jaxon is already ready for next year.
