Thanksgiving 2012

Ok folks, this is going to be a long one. That is why I've put it off.

On Thanksgiving, we were at my parent's with my Aunt Janelle, Uncle Steve, cousin Aidan, my brother, Granny and Papa. I told mom I really wanted to help and make the food this year since I'm here. (My mistake! Now I think I have to keep doing it!) I made green bean casserole, sweet potato souffle, dressing, cupcakes, butterscotch and pumpkin pie.

Being a teacher, I brought some crafts and things to keep the older ones busy.

Jemma wanted to help also.

Turkeys! I wanted to do this with my class but didn't have time so I thought Jaxon would enjoy. I will usually let him make the extras of stuff I do with my class.

Then Saturday we went to Blake's parent's in Pratt for another Thanksgiving with Blake's Grandpa Ploger, Aunt Donita, Aunt Terri, twin cousins Jordan and Kelvin, Cousin Megan and boyfriend, Cousin Dustin and girlfriend, and babies Kaden and Silas. We went out to eat at Club D'Est then back to the house to talk and let the kids play.

Also the Tuesday before we were out for Thanksgiving break, we had a Thanksgiving feast and activities for PreK-3. My class made homemade bread (in the bread machine), First Grade made butter, Second Grade brought cranberry sauce, Third Grade brought hot apple cider, and Preschool made pumpkin pie in a cup. We set up tables in the hall and they had Thanksgiving place mats they had colored. I'm glad to say all the kids liked the bread. Even though it was made in the bread machine, it is still homemade and you'd be amazed how many kids have never had homemade bread! They loved it. Afterwards, we sang and danced to Turkey in the Straw.

What's Up with Jemma?!

Jemma still loves her 2 fingers for comfort. Of course now she also has added her "B" which is her pink blanket that Jaxon made for her as a baby. We always have to have it with us and she about dies when it has to be cleaned. So I guess it is a good thing I don't have to keep track of a Binkie also since she always has her 2 fingers with her.

Love the legs also.

Mommy decided to see what the big deal was. I still don't get it!

Not any better with one.

Still a Mama's girl. When I am in the kitchen the likes to "help". She always gets out her stool and bosses me around.

Did some quick braids. She doesn't sit still very long but still cute.

"Do you need something?"

"Cheese!"

"Aaaaahhhh!" We hear this a lot. But imagine it really high pitch.
