My mom sent me this photo one day while she was watching Jemma. This is the dress I wore to Lewis' Centennial when I was 4 in 1986. Everyone dressed up in old clothes that would have been worn when Lewis first started.
She's such a beauty!

Uncle D Gets Old
My brother and I share the same birthday month because he always had to be just like me. He was 2 months early and just had to take February! He is actually younger than me but I like to point out that he is getting older too!
We celebrated at my parents' with, of course, chocolate cake.
My mom gave him a picture of his "baby", Bubba.
I think my mom was helping him sound out the big words.
Happy Birthday D!

Pine Wood Derby Prep
The Cub Scouts had a pine wood derby this year so Jaxon and Blake started making plans of a design.
Here we are at Granny's working on it. I thought it was funny all the guys giving their input on the car. Jaxon really just cared about how he was going to paint it.
Discussing plans.
Jemma really cared about it you can see.
Time to cut!

Dr. Seuss Night
In February (Yes I'm still in February, deal with it!) the school had Dr. Seuss Night. The kids in their pajamas and go through different stations that do activities dealing with Dr. Seuss.
Here is Jaxon and his buddy Kolby.
Of course Jemma had to wear her jammies too.
Making a beaded Cat in the Hat at the first station.
The next one was a book walk and every kid got to pick out a book.
The kids really liked this one in the gym where you would get cards that would tell you silly things to do.
I can't remember what they did at this station but they liked it.
Our last one was milk and cookies in the lunchroom while listening to a story.

Jemmaism:
There is a song called Thrift Shop by Macklemore that Jemma really likes except she calls it the "$20 in my pocket" song which is a lyric. She is very vocal about what she wears and she really likes to wear leggings but she came out one day and said I want to wear these pants mom. I asked her why she wanted to change and she said, "Because I got #20 in my pocket!"

3rd Grade Rec Basketball
So after playing on the 3rd & 4th grade traveling team then Jaxon played on the rec 3rd grade team. So we had lots of basketball but I loved that of course. He was more confident by now of course and kept improving.
Here's some games played in Greensburg. Everyone came to see Jaxon play - Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle D, Mamaw, Papaw, Granny and Papa.
Jemma keeping herself occupied by taking photos.
Tip off.
I tried to get some of the boys between games at concessions but the light wasn't working with me.
Jemma made a friend.
A picture from practice.
Playing in Protection. I used to play there.
Back in Greensburg another weekend.
The last game was really close at the end and there were some great plays but we ended up losing. They were getting really fun to watch at the end though.
The whole team.
