Just Jemma

Here are some pictures that tell about who Jemma is.

Disclaimer: This is a 2 year old Jemma because I am behind on blogging. Yeah she is only 2 and acts like this! Heaven help me!

Loves playing pretend. Dollhouse time is great to use that imagination and hear how a "Mommy" talks. Oops, sometimes not so great.

Making Mommy wear a crown. She likes to have someone to play with or boss.

She started liking Barbies so Grandma got out Mommy's Barbie stuff. I loved this stuff as a kid!




She loves fashion and has her own sense of style. Another word that comes to mind with Jemma is hair. Every since she was a baby, people have always commented on her hair. First off she had a lot for a baby and now it is so long for such a young girl. I love it because I loved doing my dolls hair so any chance she lets me I love to play with it. I always wanted long hair like that but mine didn't grow that long. Although I don't remember my dolls being so sassy and not sitting still. Unfortunately, I usually have to bribe her or convince her it is her idea when I do her hair.




She loves to visit the farm.




She wants to go to the park every day and swinging is her favorite!










More fashion!








The last word is STRIPES! She loves striped clothes for some reason. She also is very picky of what she wears because it must fit her definition of pretty. So when I was getting her a new swimsuit I #1 - looked for stripes and #2 - checked with her before I ordered it!

Also she likes vanilla yogurt even though she usually only eats half of it at a time. I saw it in the picture above.

Blue and Gold Banquet

The Cub Scouts have a blue and gold banquet each year to give out awards and show parents some things they have been working on. Here are the Bears showing off their Derby Cars - Jaxon made a display for his - and getting their achievements.

Tents

I can't remember if this was a snow day or just a weekend. But the kids love to make a tent in the living room and Jaxon is getting older so he likes to make it more intricate.

Then they watched a movie and were quiet for a little bit! Aaahh! That part I remember.

Pine Wood Derby

I think Jaxon's favorite part of the pine wood derby was picking out his design for the car. He is a very artistic kid (not from me) and he loves to paint and create. He has discovered a love for the Kansas City Chiefs this year so that is what he choose for his car. Of course, Blake really got into it also so they worked out it together from the shape of the car to the paint design. Jaxon had it set in his mind from the beginning what he wanted, he just didn't always have an easy time explaining it to us.

Finally in March it was time for the pine wood Derby! We had it at Burr's garage so it was a little crowded.

Here is Jaxon by his car and the others. First they voted for their favorite design.

They had 3 tracks so they raced 3 times and the best of out of 3 was the winner for that heat.

Not sure how Jemma got white chocolate on her nose from the popcorn.


Jaxon didn't win but they all had fun. He and his dad are already making plans for next time.


Afterwards, we went to a birthday party at Derley's. It was in their shed and the kids were in heaven. There was pizza, tons (and I mean tons) of candy, somebody making balloon animals, a chocolate fountain, homemade ice cream, glitter tattoos and more. Here are some pictures from the piñata.
