Jaxon's School Birthday

I always felt bad for the kids in my class growing up that had birthdays in the summer because they didn't get to celebrate their birthday at school. So when we ended up having Jaxon in the summer, I felt bad he'd miss out on that. Of course, when he started seeing other kid's celebrate their birthdays in school he wanted to also so I told him that in May we could do that even though it wouldn't be his "real" birthday. I've come to see that this summer birthday "curse" is actually a blessing. (Good thing I didn't figure this out when I was in young.) Jaxon gets to celebrate his birthday at school and then on his real birthday. Another bonus about a summer birthday is it lends to pool parties easily. So my poor baby has ended up doing quite well!

(I thought I was so smart getting prepared and charging the battery on our new digital camera the night before so it would be all ready then when I got ready to leave I couldn't get the battery in so I had to use our old one. I can really tell the difference in pictures now.)
