Our main vacation was playing at the Coco Key Water Resort so we didn't have a lot of plans but that since it costs us. Since we stayed for 2 nights, we had 3 days of playing so we got started right away on Sunday. Here is a compilation of all the pics we took the 3 days we were there.
Let's go Mom!
When we first walked in Jemma was overwhelmed. It was loud with a bunch of people and all the noise the water makes. They have this big bucket on top that fills up with water then dumps out. She was walking but then wanted to be held and started crying. When we went to the little kid area that is like a beach where you can walk in and it slowly gets deeper but not deeper than what a little kid could stand in, she was still unsure. But we convinced her to give it a try saying it was just like taking a bath which she loves. By the end she was a little fish and daredevil. When we went in one of the pools that has deeper water, she kept trying to push away and go on her own.
This was one of our favorite parts - the Lazy River. Again Jemma wasn't too sure but either Blake or I would lie in a tube and put her in our laps. She would just lay back on us. They have different places where water is falling down on you and she actually looked forward to that part. So relaxing!
The little kid beach after Jemma had warmed up to it. Then she wouldn't leave!
They also had slides in this area and Jemma went down a few times but it was just a little too fast and she would go under a bit. I think Mommy and Daddy were more uncomfortable than her about it.
Here is something that made Mommy happy to discover - they have alcoholic drinks! They had different buckets of Malibu drinks - Yum! They were pricey and probably had more sugar than alcohol but it was a nice treat. And I got to keep the bucket.
Picture didn't turn out but cute idea.
This area was only 4 to 5 ft deep, Jaxon could touch, and had basketball.
Jaxon did this quite a few times. He is so strong! He did this solely with upper body strength. I didn't dare try it and make a fool of myself. I actually never saw any adults try it out. We were all thinking the same thing.
There are the 2 slides that go outside then come back in. Jaxon didn't want to try it and I love big slides but not enclosed ones (claustrophobic). Then there is Blake who has issues with water in his ears so none of us tried it.
Hot tub! The other places had warm water but still gets cold running around so this was nice to get in once in awhile. Although Jemma is like her Momma and doesn't like it too hot after awhile.
Jaxon going to play on the smaller slides and water area in the middle of it all. This is where the big bucket was also.
Getting ready to go the last day. We had to check out at 11 but had the whole day to play so we had to change at the Waterpark. We stayed until 2 or 3 before heading back.
Jemma happy because she has food! (She's like her Uncle D when she gets hungry.)
More pictures of the place before we left.
Mommy's area - the bar.
Jemma was cranky at this point so Mommy had to hold her.
The boys chillin at the tiki bar.
We had a blast but I will say the downside was because of Spring Break it was packed! Everybody was polite though but it would have been nicer with less people. We came at the right time though because each day there was more people so I can only imagine how crowded it got.
Plogerism or Nicoleism:
Typical - I'm not a huge fan of being in a bathing suit but I knew the kids would love this trip and I thought, "Hey we will go away and I won't know anyone so who cares." First thing when we walk in I see one of my best friend's from high school's husband - Matt Holopirek! Crap, well there went that theory. It was fun to catch up with Adraina, Matt, Madisyn, and McKynzie though. I forgot that they lived in Gardner that is like right there. I also was stupid and didn't get any pics with them though - duh!
