We wanted to go ride go-carts because there were a bunch we kept seeing. When we looked it took us awhile to find one that was open. We finally chose a place and found out that Jaxon had to go onto the kid track and wasn't old enough for the big track. That's all right with this nervous mama. Jaxon was a little bummed but just excited to get out there and drive on his own. It was a little different when he actually got out there to do it himself. He didn't go as fast as he thought he would. I'm actually glad he was a cautious driver.
Waiting
Jaxon went 2 or 3 rounds. He was the only one the first time then there was just one other kid the next time.
The family cheering him on.
My mom and I took turns watching the kids and racing. Of course the guys had to race the whole time.
That evening we went on the Branson Belle. This was the main thing Granny wanted to do. It is a showboat that takes you around the lake while you eat and watch a show. It was a lot of fun and good food.
Playing around on the dock before getting on.
Granny and Papa
Grandma and Grandpa
Our MC before the show started. He was a magician.
The kid got hot chocolate before we ate. You got to keep the cups and you could take them to Silver Dollar City for refills.
Music during supper.
We went up on the top deck between the food and show.
This is where they steered the boat from. You could go up and see the captain and the big steering wheel. Of course it was all hooked up electronically now.
Jemma with her sticker the Captain gave her. Jaxon didn't want to go up there for some reason.
I don't have many pictures of the show. They didn't turn out great. But there was a quartet of guys that sang. Then a lady that sang and played the violin. She also played the violin while dangling from some sheets of fabric. And the comedian also did more stuff.
Jemma getting comfy after we got home.
Jaxon having "wine". (Sparkling cider)
