Here are some random photos from December 2013. They didn't really go with other posts.
Cuddle time with my girl.
Showing off her nails.
Jemma "talking" on the phone and writing.
Jemmaisms:
Sometimes I workout in my classroom after school and Jemma loves to play in the classroom. I was done one day so she was picking up her toys with my help. Then she gave me one of her stickers for helping her clean up.
At the table Jemma said something about cheese to which Jaxon had to say, "Did you cut the cheese or eat the cheese?" Without skipping a beat Jemma said, "Cut it!"
I asked, "Who loves Jemma?" She yells out, "Me!"
"Mommy, you're pretty like me."
When Jemma plays teacher it isn't teacher and student it is teacher and sweetie. She also plays mommy and baby as mommy and sweetie. If I'm the sweetie and I call her sweetie while we're playing then I get in trouble because she isn't the sweetie now. She sees the sweetie as the kid.
When she is playing and going somewhere then she is always either going to the school or grocery store. I guess that tells you the kind of exciting place I go.
Blake was singing the Little Einstein song and where they are supposed to sing, "Little Einstein" Jemma sang "little rockstar".

Jaxon's Basketball Team 3rd-4th
Jaxon played basketball on a 3rd-4th grade traveling team in Greensburg where Blake works. Jaxon didn't really know much about basketball when we started so he had a lot to learn. He improved so much. Now when he is at Grandma's all he wants to do is shoot baskets. I love that!
Since I'm so far behind, I'm going to combine the photos into one post.
His first practice.
His first tournament was in Pratt before Christmas. Jaxon was still unsure of himself at this point but he kept trying. Even though he is a 3rd grader he was one of the bigger kids on the team so he played post so I had lots of advice for him!
Jemma got lots of time to learn what it means to be the younger sibling and sit through games.
As you can see it meant more about eating and playing on the iPad to her.
Warming up
Talking on the phone too. (Pretend)
I'll do my best but it was a blur of practices and games after that.
St. John tournament.
Enjoying Jemma's basketball watching style. We brought lots of toys to keep her busy and it was everywhere!
Snack time!
Riding with baby to the game the next day.
Then back in Pratt a different weekend.
Jemma found a friend with Barbies.
He improved so much! I was so proud of him not only because he got better but because he was coachable and listened well. He put in the time and wanted to go to the gym whenever he could!
Jaxonisms:
During one of the games I was yelling at Jaxon to hustle and he turned out to look at me. Totally a deja vu moment from my basketball days and my dad yelling at me!
Talking about our 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Brown, Jaxon said, "She doesn't smile, only when it is funny."
During scouts one of the things we had to do was take finger prints. The boys were talking about cops and stuff and Jaxon said, "I watch Cops at the pub." He was talking about the reality show Cops.

Thanksgiving in Branson 2013 - Saturday
On Saturday some had to leave. For those that stayed we went to eat breakfast at Papa's favorite - Cracker Barrel.
Jemma loved playing with this kitchen while we waited to be seated.
Waited outside also.
Jaxon playing one of my favorite games that I would play at my Great Grandma June's house when I was little.
Then we went back to Silver Dollar City. Mostly rides for the kids.
Before we left Jaxon and I went on our first roller coaster together. I had never been before because when I was really young and around them I was scared. Then as I got older and was with Blake, he doesn't do rides because he gets sick. I just haven't been around it much. It was so fun to go on the first one with my son. I was so impressed that he went because at the beginning he didn't want anything to do with it. Then as the time went on he was asking questions then we went for it.
Walking up
After Grandpa got him a shirt to commemorate it - Wildfire!
Sunday we went home and felt like sleeping for a week but we had school the next day. Thanks Granny and Papa! Love you!
