Jaxon's music program was on November 13. We're used to having a Christmas program so this was kind of early. They had a patriotic theme and one of the songs Jaxon's class sang was Yankee Doodle Dandy. Each class sang about 2 songs. Jaxon only has 8 in his class but they did a great job.
Ready to go to the concert.
Jemma kept going back and forth sitting with me and with Blake. She finally got too fussy and nothing was making her happy so my dad took her down to my classroom to play.
We had some commotion before the concert because apparently the program has been at 7:30 for many years. But they decided that it would end later and it was a school day the next day so they would move it up to 7 this year. My music teacher, Mrs. L, in school just retired 2 years ago but she said she would accompany. So the band played first on time and when they were done the music director got ready to sing and there was no accompanists because she had thought it was at 7:30. So the principal and teachers started running everywhere to find her. They thought maybe something was wrong. In the meantime, Mrs. L walked in and sat down because another teacher was entertaining the crowd with something else the kids knew to keep them happy. Finally we spotted Mrs. L and got the concert started. It was quite humorous. She'll never live it down.
Those are the Preschoolers in front of Jaxon's class. They sang a song together and were really cute.
My class did a good job also. They were super cute and I have one that sang really loud but at that age you can get by with it.
Afterwards we tried to take a nice family picture. Jemma wasn't too sure.
Getting the blanket to make her happy.
Ahh, blankie!
