We spent Christmas Eve at my parent's and for the first time since we've been married slept in our own beds! That is one of the best parts of moving back - we get to wake up Christmas morning in our own beds. Jaxon was so excited!
Here are pics of me making sugar cookies for Santa at Granny's. Jemma helped some. I actually made it before hand but hadn't gotten around to rolling it out and baking it. I never wear an apron because I'm usually in my sweats cooking but I was already dressed up for Christmas Eve so I actually wore an apron. I felt like I'd made it as a cook! ;)
When they were done I took them down to my mom's so Jaxon could decorate.
Jemma changed into her Christmas dress after nap. She was pretty cranky so I was lucky to just get the dress on her so at this point I didn't push my luck with tights and shoes.
Jaxon wanted to sing Christmas carols before we opened presents this year.
Jemma was funny opening her gifts. She wanted to put every piece of paper she tore off in the trash right away so it took her awhile until I would tear off big pieces. She was good at making sure trash got in the right place though.
Mom with the candy jar I made them.
Jemma with her Minnie Mouse purse from Uncle D.
Jemma getting clothes. The clothes obsession starts early.
My favorite gift - a pillow of Jaxon's handprint that he made at school. He even sewed it he said.
Jemma trying on her new boots from Las Vegas.
Opening their M&M gifts my parents got them from Vegas.
They each had a bag with their names on it.
Mom with half of what I knitted for her. I got the other one to her pretty quickly. Ran out of time!
I made this layered jello. It was a huge pain in the butt. It's the first time I've ever done anything like that. Jaxon didn't like it and Jemma wouldn't even put it in her mouth so at least I don't ever have to make it again.
We went to the Christmas Eve service that night. Jemma was a mess the whole time. You can tell by the pictures we tried to take afterwards.
She was happier once she was let down and was getting into mischief.
After church we went home and had our family Christmas together. Another first - so fun!
We got in our jammies and got started.
Jemma opening her gift from Bubbie.
A Castle! She was so excited. Daddy had to open it up right away and put it together.
Ninja Turtles Van
Wonder where he gets the dramatics from?
Shopping cart
New Christmas ornament.
Science stuff. He has been begging for real vials and stuff.
New Christmas pajamas. They each got new pajamas which is a post of its own.
Our stockings hung, waiting for Santa.
Leaving Santa some cookies.
Jaxon left Santa a picture so he wrote him a note.
