Blizzard 2013 Day 1

On February 20-22, we didn't have school because we had a blizzard! Blake and I can't remember having a snow like that since we were in 4th grade. Both of us distinctly remember the huge snow drifts and missing school that year. My biggest fear is losing electricity but thank God we kept it the whole time!

The first day when it was coming down we just hunkered down in the house and played games, watched movies, ate snow ice cream, and watched the snow.

Look out the back door.

We got out Jaxon's tent and they put in pillows and watched movies. For some reason it ended up on the couch later.

He choose to color it yellow so it looks like we peed in it.

We ate also. Geez, the worst part for this mama was all the dishes! I feel for stay at home moms. Even though I would love to be with the kids, they make messes all day long! Don't ever think because someone stays at home they have time to clean - MYTH!

Playing connect four. Finding anything to keep them busy and not driving us crazy.

Jemmaism:
I was playing with Jemma in her room and we were laughing and goofing around and all the sudden she pointed her finger at me and said, "Enough!"

During the snow days, we were watching TV and an infomercial for this gross egg cooker came on and Blake, Jaxon, and I were saying how gross and disgusting it looked. All of a sudden we heard Jemma saying, "Disgusting!" Of course it was more like "sgusting" but it was really cute and such a big word for her to pick out and say. We were all laughing really hard (maybe a little cabin fever) so she kept right on saying it. It's was her new trick to tell people for awhile.

Jaxonism:
Anytime Jaxon is exasperated he says, "Good Grief!"
