Lewis Days 2012

Lewis Days was on Jaxon's birthday this year - Saturday, June 30. So we celebrated before as you can see from the other posts. The Friday night before they always have Bingo so Jaxon and I went up and met Granny and Papa. They had yummy Mexican food to eat then we played Bingo with the old fashioned cards and everything. It was actually not too hot in there which is a lot for me to say.

Jaxon really wanted to win! (I wonder where he gets all that competitiveness from.) Neither of us ended up winning but had a fun time. Last time I played I won a game and blackout and got like $60!

See the competitiveness in his eyes. He is dying to win!

Saturday morning was the 5K and kids 1 mile fun run. Jaxon ran the mile and Papa walked the 5K. He didn't run as well as he did the last time. He seemed nervous and worried about it this time. Last time he just ran. Plus last time I ran with him (or behind him) but he's had some issues with us not being with him and I think it has been the move. They had lots of medals so he still got one which made him happy.

Jemma had just fallen asleep then we had a fly over and it woke her up.

We had some friends from Satanta that just moved to Larned come down for the activities. They had a craft show in the bank (thank God air conditioning!) and they had the Shriners making balloon animals.

We went back to my parents and rested for a bit. Here is Jaxon getting Jemma calmed down. He loves to do this and hates if I interrupt and help.

We went back up for the street dance that night.

You know you're in Lewis when you see this:

Yep, Jaxon got in until he found out there was a little fish in there. Jemma just got her feet in.
