My Baby's Growing Too Fast!!!
Jemma is growing up way too fast! Time is not only going to fast she seems to want to be older than she is. She has grown so much this summer so here is a posts of Jemmaisms for the summer all together.
Words:
"I love you!" (one of my favs) It is a bit mumbled together but she imitates the tone.
"Mom, Momma, Mama!" This is usually yelled out to get her way. She either wants me or it sometimes just means I want. If I am not paying attention she will say it in that exact succession with increasing volume until I say what.
"What?" Daddy taught her that. She does it really high also.
"Daddy"
"Bubbie or Bubba" for Jaxon.
"Uh-Uh" which means no but it can also mean yes.
"No" Love that one - NOT!
"Ouch" with a big emphasis on the 'ch'.
"Hi"
"Bye-Bye" with a kiss and a wave if you're lucky!
"Bubba" that also means the dog, Boots.
"Woof"
"Thank you!" which is more like tank ooo.
"Baby!" Her baby dolls or pictures of babies like herself.
Signs:
Still doing 'more' and 'please'.
Just learned 'milk' and 'apple'.
She doesn't sign as much though. She is too ready to talk she thinks.
Songs:
"Wheels on the Bus" She can do the wheels turning and she loves to do the mama's shhhing. She puts her fingers to her lips and everything.
She loves to sing or at least she thinks she's singing. She also likes singing in church in a very loud monotone voice.
We also like Bingo.
Dancing:
It goes along with singing but most of the time she does one or the other. Dancing involves swinging back and forth and spinning around.
Games and toys:
Love to run back and forth the house with Jaxon yelling.
Anything she can play with Jaxon. (She adores him!)
Run and jump on you.
Baby dolls - she gets them all out and shoves the bottle in their mouth. They like it!
Phones - always yapping on the play one but not the real one.
Microphone - she eats it while she sings.
Play kitchen
Blocks
Food:
Has to feed herself with utensils.
She will eat snacks all day long.
Addicted to cool whip in a can. (Seriously, you must hide it around her.)
Loves cookies and knows what you mean when you say, "Do you want a cookie?"
Likes to dip things in applesauce.
Likes peanut butter on a spoon.
Sleeping:
Thank God she is sleeping so well. It took awhile but we figured out that, unlike her brother, Jemma does better if you just lay her down and leave. She will even go to her crib during the day to just chill out and will let you know when she's ready to get up. I'll just say Jemma are you ready for bed and she grabs her blanket and points or walks in. It's wonderful!
Vices:
Her blankie and two fingers to suck on. It now has to be the right blankie so we need to get some more fabric. Hopefully that will work because I'm afraid we might leave it somewhere or lose it now.
Personality:
Sassy
Happy
Giggly
Strong Willed (who knows where that comes from ;)
Inquisitive
Observant - She will copy everything you do and think she is a big girl. She was trying to figure out how to tie her shoes the other day.
Talkative - She doesn't say a whole lot that makes sense yet but when you are talking to somebody she jumps right in with actions and inflections like she is telling some big story.
Likes to clean (at least that's what I'm hoping will stick). She is always getting rags and wiping the floor or the ottomon. Sometimes there is nothing there but if she spills something she usually "tries" to clean it up. This goes with observant - the other day she put the rag on the floor and moved it around with her foot. She's obviously seen that done before.
And the best way to describe Jemma is ATTITUDE:
Hopefully now that we're in the groove, I can do better of keeping up with Jemmaisms as they happen! (I hope!)
