Jaxon had so much fun playing soccer this year. It is the first time he played organized sports besides T-ball but T-ball didn't keep score. I am going to bunch all of the pictures together. He played all of his games on Saturdays in Dodge in the morning. Some days were very cold and windy and then we'd get days that were hot. They played April 6, 13, and 27 and each day was 2 games.
The first game was on Jemma's birthday so it was a particularly busy day for us but lots of fun.
You can see this was a cold one. I never got Jemma's clothes right for the weather it seemed but we keep blankets in the car so she was kept warm enough.
Talking with his coach, Jason Broker.
Playing goalie. That was hard for him because he always wanted to get out there in the action.
Same day, different color.
Jaxon did such a great job for never having played before and not getting in much practice because of the weather. He was very aggressive and did a good job of listening to the coach.
Always ready to go back in.
Second Saturday of games.
This is what Jemma though soccer was all about - eating! I actually thought ahead and brought snacks and Jemma kept eating and eating. She is a snacker!
Jemma also liked to play with Michael's sister, Yazmin.
Jaxon, Jemma, Yazmin, and Michael
The last Saturday of games. The most exciting!
The best part was that Jaxon made his first goal and the last goal of the season. The game was almost over and Jaxon had been playing defense and then was sitting out so when Jemma wanted to go to the bathroom I thought that I wouldn't miss anything. Of course Jemma didn't really go to the bathroom but then I had to get a new diaper. So just as we were walking back I was trying to find Jaxon and thought he was sitting out when I saw him. Right then I saw a kid pass it to him and he kicked it in! He was soooo excited! We don't have it on film but I'm just so glad I saw it.
Making calls to grandparents after the game to tell them about his goal.
Way to go Jaxon!
