After Build a Bear we decided to go to the zoo. We were excited! I think Jemma had woken from a nap. It is always hard at this age when they need naps still but don't fall asleep when they need to. She always falls asleep in the car and then is a bear when we get there.
Getting ready to ride the lift.
Riding up to get to the top of the zoo where you could look around. Jaxon wasn't sure about the safety of the lift.
Looking down on a tiger.
They had a playground up top.
They had this house thing with places to climb inside it.
Going down.
Peacocks on top of a restaurant at the zoo.
The giraffe's.
Time to start exploring the zoo. We liked seeing the peacocks and others birds just walking around.
Lunch
Pretty girl on the carousel.
Pony ride.
Jemma went back and forth for awhile on if she wanted to ride but she finally decided to go for it.
I am so not a cat person, like house cats, so this freaked me out a bit.
Bear
We went to Colorado in the summer hoping it would be cool but it was pretty hot. This water was a welcome relief.
Chicken in the road.
Watch out!
This was such a lifesaver and worth the money to rent. I didn't have room to bring our big stroller on the trip. It is good for when Jemma gets tired but also holding out stuff. I might still get those when the kids are teens just to hold everything. This zoo is on the side of the mountain so lots of uphill walking.
Hippo
We did the giraffe's at the end. They were my favorite because they walk right up to you and you can pay to get food to feed them.
Obviously a fake one.
Now for the real ones!
There was a few more animals beyond the giraffe's. I can't remember what this is called.
On our way out. Notice the pout face has moved faces.
