So Jaxon doesn't turn 4 until June 30 but since Blake is working on the farm this summer and Jaxon's birthday always falls in the unknown of if harvest will be over or not we celebrated his birthday Sunday, June 7 with his friend Caydon Good who turns 4 on June 9. This party was for all his Satanta friends and we will have a family party around his birthday sometime pending harvest.
The boys both had a great time with their friends. It worked out well for everyone because both would have invited all the same people so this way we could have one big bash.
The theme was pirates and our good friend Leanne of Three Tiers made the birthday cake - the best! We had the party at the Good's house so set up was pretty easy for me. Because of all the kids and adults we moved everything outside to have more room. First we had the cake and ice cream. Then we opened presents. The boys ended up with a bunch of great water toys for the summer so we need to have a water party for the kids and let them go crazy with them. Maybe when it gets warmer. It is pretty cold today and Jaxon really wants to get out his new slip and slide so we'll see.
All the kids got little treat bags that had treasure boxes with keys, tattoos, earrings, and pirate rags. The kids got them out and put them on which was really cute.
Jaxon has been saying for a long time that he wants a yellow birthday so I'm so slow and it finally hit me that we should have a Spongebob birthday - duh! So that is what we'll have for his family birthday which will be pretty easy I think.
