Patio Complete

I posted awhile ago we were going to put down a cement patio - when I got whacked in the head trying to get sand. Anyway, we got the cement poured on Friday, May 22 then enjoyed it with a party for a co-teacher that was retiring on May 30. It looks so nice and I'm so glad it's done but I'm sure you all know when you are doing improvements or things around the house that it is rarely smooth sailing. We did pretty good but after taking 15 minutes or so getting the cement truck in our back yard with no problems the truck driver decided to get out in one shot and we ended up having to cut down one of the post to the fence after he got stuck. It could have been worse I'm sure but now instead of having one project done we have added another - fixing the gate. It is kind of hard this time of year since Blake is not in Satanta much since he is working on the farm in Lewis - 2 hours away. I'm really excited to have it though and sit out on to watch Jaxon. Next project is to add some steps. If you notice from the picture there is a huge drop off from the door.
